Traffic Incidents related to James Street, Toowoomba City, QLD

A traffic incident has occurred on the Warrego Highway, eastbound 2km from the top of the Toowoomba Range. The road is currently closed and under police direction. Delays in the area are unknown at this stage.

There is a breakdown 300m above the saddle westbound on the Toowoomba Range and the left lane is blocked.

There is a stationary truck on James St westbound between MacArthur St and Geddes St blocking the left lane.

Tor Street (Warrego Highway), Toowoomba - The extensive rain within Toowoomba city has caused significant pavement failures in TOR STREET, NEWTOWN. The Department of Transport and Main Roads is working with Toowoomba Regional Council to maintain the road until long term repair works can be carried out.

A B-double has failed to negotiate the corner of James and Cohoe Streets and has gone through the guardrail, hit a power pole and is located in the front yard of a property.
Westbound lanes (up the Toowoomba Range) are closed to heavy vehicles between Withcott and the top of the Range.
The down lanes of the Toowoomba Range remain unaffected.
Westbound lanes are shut at the intersection of Cohoe and Herries Street to all vehicles.
Small vehicles travelling up the range are being diverted via Herries Street.
B-double is in the process of being removed.
Power lines are down due to incident and Ergon are on site working towards restoring power.

A crash has occurred on James St, East Toowoomaba at the intersection with Cohoe St. As a result there are partila lanes closures with heavy vehicles able to pass at low speed.

James Street and Kitchener Street are CLOSED due to flood waters. Drivers are urged not to enter floodwater. Last updated 12:40pm 27/12.

There is a multiple vehicle crash at the intersection of James Street and West Street. Due to this local diversions are in place and motorists are to expect medium delays in the area. Please seek alternative routes.

There has been a traffic incident of the Southbound lanes on Anzac Ave and Alderley Streets at Toowoomba.
This is effecting traffic traffic westbound on Alderley Street. Minor impact on south traffic on Anzac Ave.
Left lane is closed and under traffic control.
Emergency services are on location to assist with this accident.
Motorists are being advised to expect delays, exercise caution and allow additional travel time.

Due to a police incident on the Toowoomba-Cecil Plains Road (also known as Taylor Street) at Whyalla Road, the road is closed and motorists should seek an alternative route.
