Traffic Incidents related to Third Avenue, Railway Estate, QLD

Motorists are advised that the Railway Avenue Service Road will be closed to all vehicles from Queens Road to Flowers Street for the V8 Supercars event. The road closure will take effect at midnight on Saturday 3 July 2010 and will continue until 6pm on Monday 12 July 2010.

Motorists are advised that maintenance works will be occurring that require the signals to be switched off at the intersection of Charters Towers Road and Fraire Street / Townsend Street. This will be taking place on Thursday 3 June 2010 and Friday 4 June 2010 between the hours of 8:00pm - 4:00am. Police and traffic control will be onsite during these times, and some delays are expected.

As at 12:30pm on the 1st of June, 2010 motorists are advised of an update on the multiple vehicle incident at the intersection of Boundary St and Railway Ave. Boundary Street is closed off to one lane between Charters Towers Road and Railway Avenue. Motorists are advised to take an alternative route as delays are expected due to the closure. There is currently no estimated re-opening time available.

Motorists are advised of a multi-vehicle accident at the intersection of Boundary Street and Railway Avenue. Intersection has been closed off to all traffic and will remain closed for an unknown amount of time.

Motorists are advised of a traffic incident on Woolcock Street in the outbound direction, at the King's road intersection. The incident occured at approximately 4.30pm on Monday 6 September and is currently causing significant congestion in the area. Motorists are asked to seek an alternate route if possible.

Motorists are advised of a multiple vehicle incident on Woolcock Street at the Kings Road intersection. Police and emergency services are on site, with some lanes in all directions currently blocked. Major congestion has developed around the area, so please avoid the intersection where possible.

Motorists are advised of a 2 vehicle traffic incident at the intersection of Bowen Road and Hodel Street. The South bound lane is currently blocked but Police are onsite directing traffic around the area. Please be advised to expect delays if travelling in that direction and to find an alternative route where possible.

Motorists are advised of works for the installation of signage on the footpath of Charters Towers Road at the Purves Street intersection. Works are currently in progress and will continue until the 25/03/2010. Works will take place between 9:30am and 2:30pm. A speed reduction to 40km/hr will be in place throughout the works.
