Reports of water over the Bruce Highway in the area of Gravel Creek, Six Mile Creek and Farmer Creek between Calliope and Mt Larcom. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution when travelling in the area.

The Bruce Highway is closed to all traffic north of Calliope and is not expected to reopen until after 2:00pm (1/12/2011). Detours are in place via the Dawson Highway into Gladstone and Gladstone-Mt Larcom Road.

The Bruce Highway is closed to all traffic at the Calliope Heritage Village following a single vehicle accident. The highway is not expected to reopen until after 5:00pm.
