Police have advised that Herveys Range Road is open at the Burdekin River 106km west of Townsville. Motorist are advised to reduce speed as mud and bebris may be on the bridge and will be cleared today by council staff. Updated 07:00 24/03/11

Herveys Range Road is closed at the Burdekin River 106km west of Townsville with water 500mm over the Bridge. Reports of debris and logs on the road surface at Ella Creek Culvert 7km to the east. Motorists are advised to detour via Charters Towers. Updated 10:00 23/03/11
