Motorists can expect delays on the Cunningham Highway this Sunday night when an oversized load passes through Cunningham’s Gap on its way to the Port of Brisbane. The convoy is carrying a piece of equipment bound for use in the Canadian nickel industry.
Delays are expected between 8:00pm and midnight on Sunday 18th December 2011.
Once through the Gap, the convoy will travel along the Cunningham Highway to Yamanto before continuing on to the Port of Brisbane. The load is expected to stop at Sugarloaf Road at Mutdapilly and at Willowbank to allow traffic to pass.
Please delay your trip or allow additional travel time if travelling on the same route at the same time as the convoy.
A second load is planned to travel through the Gap at a later date once the first load has been delivered successfully. Further notifications will be provided prior to the second load going through.
