There is a fallen tree about 1 km below the lookout on the Kuranda range. Both directions are blocked. Motorist are advised the Kurnada range is currently closed and should avoid travelling until advised range is open.

There are reports of a DIESEL SPILL on the Kuranda Range appraoching the Switchback.
