A control burn on private land is planned, dependent on weather conditions, for the eastern side of the Bruce Highway (Townsville to Ingham)from Helen's Hill Road south to Grasso's Road. This is expected to take place on Tuesday June 6, 2010 from 4:30 pm. Smoke hazard may be expected however Rural Fire Service will be present and SES will be manning traffic points. Delays of 5-10 minutes may occur if smoke becomes too thick.
