There are fires causing a smoke hazard on the Bruce Highway at Bambaroo, north of Rolling Stone and on Gregory Development Road 5km from Charters Towers.

HAZARD REDUCTION BURNS will be conducted from 5:30pm on THURSDAY, 3 SEPTEMBER on the BRUCE HIGHWAY at BAMBAROO between GINN CREEK and WATERFALL CREEK. There may be smoke haze across the road which could impair visibility and speed reductions in place.
Motorists should expect minor delays. Please drive with care for the safety of our firefighters and other motorists.
