Safety improvement, to reduce the crash potential, the proposed safety improvements will include a dedicated right-turn lane Bunya Rd on Eaton’s Crossing Road. This new addition will provide a safer intersection for motorists to navigate, and reduce rear-end crashes as vehicles are waiting to turn. Construction work is scheduled to commence in late April 2017 and take six weeks to complete, weather permitting. Work will generally be carried out between 6am and 6pm, Monday to Friday; however, occasional night work may also be required. For the safety of road workers and motorists, changed traffic conditions including traffic control devices, lane closures and speed reductions will apply during the works. Variable Messaging Signage (VMS) boards will also be deployed at the approaches to the work site.
