Kirknie Road, Home Hill between Marshall Road and Power Road will have a single lane closure for maintenance commencing 10 March 2012 8:00am and finishing 10 March 2012 10:00am. Traffic controllers and speed restrictions will be in place for the duration of the works.

Bruce Highway/Eighth Avenue will have a complete road closure for the Home Hill Harvest Festival. Closures will include a detour that will allow normal flow of traffic in this area. Closures will be in place from 3:00pm to 6:30pm on the Bruce Highway/Eighth Avenue and two side streets between 9:00am and 12:00am.

The Bruce Highway is closed in both directions at the Bojack Road intersection due to a fire causing low visibility. Fire services are on site with no estimated time of reopening.

Burdekin Bridge has a been reduced to one lane as there is a broken down heavy vehicle on the bridge. Police are on site directing traffic and the estimated time that the bridge will be fully re-opened is to be in approximately 2hours. Motorists can expect delays durring this time.

Due to a signal fault railway level crossings are malfunctioning in the Ayr and Homehill areas. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes over the railways or proceed with care.
