Roadworks - Planned roadworks
The Department of Transport and Main Roads is upgrading cycle lanes within the Principal Cycle Network on Southport–Burleigh Road. Bridges at Lake Intrepid and Lake Heron will be widened to include dedicated cycle lanes. These lanes will be added the eastern side of the bridges on the southbound side of Bermuda Street.
The upgrade will provide long-term benefits to the community by increasing safety and connectivity of the principal cycle network in this area, further improving safety for all road users.

Right hand lane just prior to Bermuda Street and Nerang-Broadbeach Road intersection southbound, through to Q Super Centre Intersection southbound has been closed for bridge widening works.
