The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) would like to advise upcoming pavement resurfacing works along Mount Cotton Road, in both directions between Woodlands Drive and Mount View Road, Mount Cotton. Minor delays are expected, so please allow extra journey time as traffic control, reduced speed limits and temporary single-lane closures will be in place while work is underway. Roadworks - Planned roadworks
The Department of Transport and Main Road (TMR) will be upgrading the Mount Cotton and Seaview Road intersection at Mount Cotton. Works will commence mid-June 2018 and are expected to be completed by October 2018, weather permitting. Standard construction hours will be from Sunday to Friday nights. 7pm to 5am. Works are undertaken at night for the safety of the work crew and road users and to minimise the impact to the road network. Some occasional day works may be required from Monday to Friday, between 9am to 3pm. Work will include installation of signals including pedestrian crossings. installation of street lighting, minor modification of intersection alignment, pavement widening and resurfacing of existing pavement. Realignment and extension of footpath minor drainage improvement. Installation of pedestrian fences, signs and line marking. Upgrade to existing bus zone. Changed traffic conditions may include reduced speed limits, partial lane or shoulder closures.
