The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) would like to advise of upcoming road improvement works on various roads in Rosewood, Lower Mount Walker, Ashwell, Lanefield and Walloon.
Works will commence in early March 2020 and are expected to be completed by Mid March 2020, weather and construction conditions permitting. Standard Construction hours are from 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday, however some Saturday or out of hours work may be required.
To ensure the safety of road workers and traffic controllers, reduced speed limits and changes to traffic conditions can be expected. Traffic Changes included lane closures with traffic control, temporary speed reductions and short-term traffic disruptions. Allow extra time when planning your journey. Queensland Rail advises that the rail crossing at John Street in Rosewood will be closed to all traffic between 11pm on Friday 20 October and 5am on 23 October, due to maintenance works.
A detour will be in place via a single-lane side track approximately 780 metres northeast of John Street.
Motorists should expect delays, especially during peak period, and are advised to avoid the area if possible.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads would like to advise that drainage rehabilitation works are about to commence to improve the drainage infrastructure on Karrabin-Rosewood Road, between Trewick Lane and Yarrow Road, at Rosewood.
Traffic control will be onsite and road users may experience short delays and changed traffic conditions.
Works are expected to be completed by mid April 2017. Works will be carried out between the hours of 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
There will be reduced speed limits with partial lane closures. Traffic controllers and road signage will be in place when required to ensure the safety of road workers and motorists during these changed traffic conditions.

Department of Transport and Main Roads wishes to advise of works being undertaken on Karrabin-Rosewood Road between Blakes Road and Wulkuraka Connection Road and Haigslea-Amberley Road between Hansons Road and Hodgsons Road to improve safety. Works include the installation or upgrading of guardrails, improvements to drainage, and the removal of roadside hazards including trees. Motorists should expect reduced speed limits and lane closures. Traffic control will be onsite.

Construction will predominantly occur during the day from Monday to Friday between 6.00am and 6.00pm. Some works may also occur from time to time on weekends for the safety of road workers and motorists.
Stage 2 of these safety improvement works include:
Guardrail installation;
Culvert widening;
Drainage improvement.
Motorists may experience minor traffic delays and lane closures during the works. There will also be temporary reductions in the speed limit. Traffic control will be in place to ensure the safety of road workers and motorists. There will be some construction noise and dust associated with these works. However, TMR will make every effort to minimise disruptions throughout the duration of this project.
