Traffic Incidents related to Charters Towers Road, Hyde Park, QLD

Motorists are advised that the traffic lights at the intersection of Ross River Road, Cross St and Balls lane as well as Ross River Road, Bowen Road and Charters Towers Road are currently off due to an Ergon Energy Power failure. Police are currently on site direction traffic. The lights will resume normal operation once power has been restored.

Motorists are advised that the traffic signals at the intersection of Stanley Street and Walker Street are currently flashing amber. Police are on site directing traffic and delays are expected when travelling through the area.

Motorists are advised of a multiple vehicle incident on Woolcock Street, near the Kings Road intersection. Police and emergency services are on site, with outbound traffic currently reduced to one lane. Delays are expected when travelling outbound on Woolcock Street, or when turning from Kings Road onto Woolcock Street outbound. Avoid the area where possible.

Motorists are advised of a multiple Vehicle incident on Blackwood Street at the Sturt Street intersection. Police are on site directing traffic, and when heading outbound, the right turn onto Sturt Street currently blocked. Delays are expected.

Motorists are advised that due to Roadworks there will be no left turn into Mango Avenue from Ross River Road and Mango Avenue itself will be closed between the hours of 9.00am and 1.00pm today the 25 February, 2010. Detours, speed reductions and traffic control will be in place during the works.

Motorists are advised of works for the installation of signage on the footpath of Charters Towers Road at the Purves Street intersection. Works are currently in progress and will continue until the 25/03/2010. Works will take place between 9:30am and 2:30pm. A speed reduction to 40km/hr will be in place throughout the works.

Motorists are advised of a 2 vehicle traffic incident at the intersection of Bowen Road and Hodel Street. The South bound lane is currently blocked but Police are onsite directing traffic around the area. Please be advised to expect delays if travelling in that direction and to find an alternative route where possible.
