The Captain Cook Hwy is CLOSED to traffic due to flooding at Thomatis Creek. Barricades are in place at Arnold St (northbound traffic) and Caravonica Roundabout (southbound traffic). Inbound traffic is being diverted down the Cairns Western Arterial Road (via Redlynch). Major delays are being experienced.

Due to Flooding at Thomatis Cr on the Captain Cook Hwy, there is HEAVY CONGESTION on the Captain Cook Hwy at the Smithfield and Caravonica roundabouts and also the Cairns Western Arterial road heading inbound. Major delays can be expected.
