The Brisbane Lions v West Coast Eagles AFL game will be held at the Gabba on Saturday July 8th at 1:45pm.
Traffic congestion may be experienced on Stanley St, Vulture St, and Ipswich Rd from 12:15pm on match day.
Motorists on the Pacific Motorway may also experience congestion from this time at the northbound Stanley St exit 2 and Stanley St onramp and southbound across the Captain Cook Bridge to the Vulture St exit, exit 2, Stanley St onramp and Main St.
Road closures will be in place approximately 45 minutes before the end of the event on Stanley St and Vulture St. Motorists attending the event should also be aware of the 15-minute parking restriction that applies to the Gabba Traffic Area on match days.

Roadworks - Planned roadworks
Major construction works are underway at Buranda busway
station as part of the Brisbane Metro project.
To facilitate works, bus station closures, traffic changes and
detours will be in place on O’Keefe Street from 9pm Friday 7
July to 5am Monday 10 July 2023.
O’Keefe Street will be closed to general traffic, between Carl
Street and Logan Road. Access will be maintained for local
traffic, emergency services and buses. Detour routes will be in
place, please follow signage:
• Eastbound detour - a detour will be in place via Carl Street,
Cornwall Street, Logan Road and Montague Street.
• Westbound detour - a detour will be in place via Logan Road
and Balaclava Street
• Westbound detour for vehicles over 3.6m high – due to the low
bridge clearance on Logan Road, all vehicles over 3.6m high
